Communication

I confess that I do very little texting (something to do with my fat fingers and little understanding of the current codes). However, my friend Mary Sue Burch shared the following Middle Age Texting Codes with me. It will bring a smile to your face.

ATD -at the doctor
BFF -best friend fell
BTW -bring the wheelchair
BYOT -bring your own teeth
FWIW -forgot where I was
GGPBL -gotta go, pacemaker battery low
GHA -got heartburn again
IMHO -is my hearing aid on
LMDO -laughing my dentures out
OMMR -on my massage recliner
ROFLACGU -rolling on floor laughing and can't get up
TTYL -talk to you louder

I think I will stay with face to face and the phone.

Revival in Bartow

Sunday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 18, I will be preaching in revival at the First Baptist Church of Bartow, Florida. Bartow is the county seat of Polk County. Dr. Ron Burks is the pastor of this dear church. He and the leaders of the church have done an excellent job of preparation, visiting and praying. Also, my friend and treasured co-laborer Marvin Pittman is a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Bartow.

It is my conviction that the needs of our nation, our state and our churches will be met when our churches experience old-fashioned revival.

Please pray for me, for Dr. Burks and for the people of Bartow First Baptist Church that we might experience real revival and that scores of people will come to faith in Christ. God is willing. May He pour out His Spirit upon us.

Some Soul for Thee

Lord, lay some soul upon my heart,
And love that soul through me;
And may I bravely do my part
To win that soul for Thee.

Lord, lead me to some soul in sin,
And grant that I may be
Endued with power and love to win
That soul, dear Lord, for Thee.

To win that soul for Thee, my Lord,
Will be my constant prayer;
That when I've won Thy full reward
I'll with that dear one share.

Some soul for Thee, some soul for Thee,
This is my earnest plea;
Help me each day, on life's highway,
To win some soul for Thee.

While this is one of my favorite hymns may it be the desire of my heart and the activity of my life.
