Revival in Indiana

Last week I led revival services in the First Baptist Church of New Haven, Indiana. Pastor David Trimble did an excellent job preparing His people for the revival. This revival was a apart of a partnership mission project with the Northeast Indiana Baptist Association, where 8 churches conducted revivals simultaneously. Evangelists were enlisted by the Southwest Florida Baptist Association.

Revival began Wednesday evening and continued through Sunday evening. All week long I struggled with a severe cold and a weak voice. However, God's spirit was powerful. People were saved in every service with a total of 24 trusting Christ in the services at New Haven. People were won to Christ every day in the community. New Haven had 22 other decisions, 3 by letter and baptized 7. The pastor is anticipating baptizing for the next several weeks. On Sunday morning the church had a record attendance of 90 in Bible Study and 134 in Worship. Possibly the best evidence of revival comes from the 50 people who participated in Soul Winner Training on Sunday afternoon.

Thank God for the spirit of revival. Pray for Brother Trimble and his dear people as they follow-up on these decisions.

Revivals still work when we work for revival.
