Revival in Lake Panasoffkee

Sunday morning, January 23, I began preaching revival services at First Baptist Church of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida. Dr. Randy Alonso is pastor to this fine congregation. Early in December I had traveled to Lake Panasoffkee to share suggested revival plans with the leaders of the church. Plans were made to conduct the revival services Sunday morning through Friday night with noon daytime services. Dr. Alonso led his congregation to pray, fast, visit and believe God for genuine revival.

God opened the windows of heaven and sent revival upon His people.
  • Nightly attendance that approached averaging more than the Sunday morning attendance
  • People (15) baptized in all but one service
  • People (50) saved in every service
  • Additions by letter (3)
  • People (17) making decisions of rededication in every service
  • People (23) participating in Soul Winner Training
  • People (87) making commitments to win souls
All of this in a church that had 184 in Bible Study on Sunday morning – To God be the Glory!

Dr. Alonso and his capable staff; Jamie Ragan, Leslie Rogers, Teala Ragan and Paul Young are to be commended for their outstanding leadership.

Some will tell you the day of local church revivals is over. I think the people of First Baptist Church Lake Panasoffkee would disagree.

Attempting to connect the dots…

Romans 1:16

Quotable:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
