Marci and John

Next Friday, June 28, our daughter Marci will be married to her high school sweetheart, John Friend. As you would expect we (Ruthi and I) are experiencing many emotions.

First, there is joy. Joy for Marci as she reaches this moment in her life. John, her fiance, is an excellent young man. Our prayer is that they will build a home that will honor God and be a blessing to the people they relate to.

Second, there is gratitude. We are grateful for the many people that have influenced Marci and brought her to this happy time in her life. Family, friends, church members and others have helped to shape Marci into the young woman she is today.

Third, there is anticipation. This will be a new chapter in Marci's life. It is a time of new beginning and opportunity. We have always anticipated great things for Marci and still believe it to be true. While their life together will not be without challenges they have the promise of a better tomorrow with the Lord.

Fourth, there is pride. To paraphrase Mr. Spock, we have been and always shall be proud of all of our children. June 28 will be Marci's day and on that day we will be the proudest parents ever to attend a wedding.

Finally, Marci has benefited from the finest example of being a Wife and Mother in Ruthi. I would pray that Marci might follow her Godly example.

Attempting to Connect the Dots...

Wayne
