People in the Background

For these past several years that God has allowed me to serve with the Florida Baptist Convention staff I have grown in my gratitude for their efforts. Those who serve on our Florida Baptist Convention staff are Godly and dedicated people who serve our Lord selflessly and sacrificially. Most of these are people about whom you have read in the Witness or heard preach at a meeting.

However, there are several people that I have observed who work tirelessly to make the service of the rest of us possible. Don Hepburn, Steve Baumgardner, Patty Vansant, and Barbara Denman labor consistently to see that proper materials are provided, rooms are arranged, and the needs of the participants are met. While their labor is not always visible it is always apparent. The work of our Florida Baptist Convention would be much more challenging were it not for the efforts of these dear people.

It has been my opinion that the finest resource of the Florida Baptist Convention is our people. These four are among our very best. I shall be ever grateful for their time, energy, and sweet spirit in causing our work to run smoothly.
